Whereas with Pro 8.0 I compress it to a similar size of say 90K and the person looks like he has a skin disease of some kind.I think maybe I have not figured out the Pro properly, because it is really very sophisticated otherwise. I simply tell it I want only 600 or 800 pixels across and the email photo looks nice. Only complaint I have had so far is that when I take an image off the G3 and compress it to send by email, somehow Image Expert does a far better job. i can do so much more with it than with the Image Expert, though that is also a nice piece of software. My Dell PC came with Paint Shop Photo Album (they call it Dell Image Expert) and a trial version of the Pro which I liked so I decided to buy the Pro. Open Paint Shop Pro 8, you should no longer receive the message "Failed to update system registry.I have Paint Shop Pro 8.0 and really like it a lot. Close the Registry Editor and the DOS/Terminal window.ġ1. Once you have given the System and Administrator accounts full control permission, press OK. Perform the same step for the System account.ġ0. In the Permissions for PaintShopPro8.Image dialog, Select the Administrator account, and then mark the Allow box for Full Control. Left-click the PaintShopPro8.Image KEY once to highlight it.ĩ. Scroll down until you find a KEY named PaintShopPro8.Image.
You will see a drop-down list of KEYS (folders).ħ. Left-click the plus sign (+) next to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. Once the backup process is complete, you can fix the problem with the registry permissionsĦ. This file can serve as a backup if necessary. The program will automatically add a REG extension when the file is saved. Choose a filename and location to save the file, and then press Save. At the bottom of the dialog, make sure the Export Range is set to All.
